Teen Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at A Woman’s Place. We are grateful for the support of such a generous and committed community.

Teens aged 14-17 are encouraged to submit a teen volunteer application. The volunteer opportunities at A Woman’s Place include, but are not limited to:

  • Working at In Full Swing Thrift Store
  • Participating in the Young Adult Advisory Board
  • Working with children as a part of our Children's Program
  • Administrative tasks
  • Education: participation in community activities to enhance community awareness of A Woman’s Place and our services

Teens interested in gaining volunteer hours for National Honor Society are encouraged to become a Teen Ambassador by developing and hosting a fundraising event, developing and hosting a drive at school, distributing awareness and prevention handouts at school or hang out spot, and/or arranging AWP to present at school or place of worship.

All volunteers are required to attend a 3-hour teen training course, highlighting information about Domestic Violence and the services provided by A Woman’s Place.
