Paint The Towns Purple

Throughout the month of October, A Woman's Place will be displaying purple ribbons and distributing outreach materials to local businesses, storefronts, and restaurants all throughout the towns of Doylestown, Quakertown, and Bristol! All outreach materials are designed to raise the community's awareness of domestic violence, connect folks with A Woman's Place, and to build the community's capacity for supporting survivors in an empowering manner.

New in 2020 - Paint Your Home Purple!

With all of us going out less and staying home more often, A Woman's Place wants to bring Paint the Towns Purple to your neighborhood with Paint Your Home Purple!

Completely free of charge, individuals & families can pick up a Paint Your Home Purple Kit that includes:

  • a Domestic Violence Awareness Month lawn sign (to be placed in your yard or in front of your home)
  • a purple light bulb (to be installed as your porch light for the first 2 weeks of October)

We invite you to join us in Domestic Violence Awareness Month, tell others about A Woman's Place, and Paint Your Home Purple for the month of October!

If interested in a Kit, email: Lark Irwin, Director of Education & Outreach (Lirwin@awomansplace.org) to schedule a pick-up time. Kits will be shared on a first-come-first-serve basis, so act quickly!
