Coaching Boys Into Men

Coaches already make a difference in athletes' lives on the field. Now they can make a difference off the field with Coaching Boys into Men.

WHAT is Coaching Boys Into Men (CBIM)?

Coaching Boys Into Men(CBIM) is the only evidence-based prevention program that empowers coaches to teach their young male athletes about healthy relationships, and that violence never equals strength.

WHO is CBIM for?

Athletic coaches of spring season sports involving middle school, high school, and college-aged male athletes. Coaches need not be affiliated with a school in order to participate but must be:

  • Dedicated to standing up for respect and developing positive character and leadership among athletes
  • Committed to building strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect.

HOW does CBIM work?

Coaches deliver 15-minute lessons from the playbook once a week to their athletes about various topics including:

  1. Respectful behavior, on and off the field
  2. Digital disrespect
  3. Personal responsibility
  4. Relationship abuse
  5. Understanding consent

CBIM is designed for coaches to easily incorporate these lessons into regular strategy and practice sessions. A Woman's Place staff will be with you every step of the way for support, guidance, and resources.

WHEN can I get started?

A one-time coaches training will be held in early 2017.
